The Age Old Dilema: How to shop for thee designer handbag that best suits you!

Yesterday a good friend was asking me advice on which Louis Bag i thought would best suit her. from that sentence don't think she isn't independent and what not - because she is, she just knows we both have an ever lasting love for Louis and i'd be completely honest. So now since that i explained the blog begins.

Simone textes me and asked me which bag would best suit her. The Damier Azur speedy 25 or the Black Multicolour speedy 30 with pocket detail. I instantly responded with "let me find a place to sit down and i'll get back to your asap, i can go on for hours" When i found a place to sit i said. "what do you want to convey with the bag." She said what any person who doesnt want to buy the wrong bag would say, or do? She gave me a kind of pro's and con's list.

The Damier Azur Speedy 25: Its classic and clean, and i responded with my friend has one and theres basically denim stains on one side of the bag so its a bitch to take care of.

The Black Multicolour Speedy 30: It shows her personality (which is always good and i deffinately can not fight with that) because we all want a bag that best suits our personality.) Its fun its bright. Basically we went back and forth saying yes it would basically show her personality but what about the class aspect that the Azur brings? We both agreed that it would be very difficult to convey Class with the BM then we got back in the personality discussion.

In the end after going back in forth with "maybe the azur in a bigger size would look fabulous" and the "are you sure you want a bag that you have to be choosie with which accessories you can pair it up with." We... Well she decided to go with the bag that best suits her personality which is great because sometimes a girl just wants to have fun with her purses and not be well. Boring!

You go girl and good luck with your first LV purchase!

PS: Tell me how you guys shop for your bags! Whats questions do you ask yourself? Whats the deciding factor?

Love at First Sight

Like I mentioned in the blog below titled "Bar to Bar" http://fashiontwits.blogspot.com/2010/06/bar-to-bar.html < theres the link. I was window shopping for some new summer threads looking around at the new and lovely trends. A lot of neutrals and graphics and well as bold neons and prints. Which is always good 'cause personally i couldnt have a summer wardrobe with only neutrals, I love my bold pieces, colours, and prints just as much. So I walked into Zara and saw this lovely number. At first i thought it was a bunch of Hermes scarves sewn together to make a little vest but it wasn't it was a vest obviously made by Zara!
I love this vest because:
1) Its inexspensive
2) Its silk
3) The fit is amazing
4) I literally died for it
5) Its vintage inspired
6) It makes me think of Hermes, whom is basically the god of designer fashion houses.
7) Its flowy, which is perfect for summer and i love i'll fitting-ish pieces.
and
8) Did i mention i literally DIED for this!

Street Chic: Head 2 Toe

I've been meaning to get around to making a segment on my blog called "Street Chic." Yes, yes every blogger does it so i may as well help keep that tradition alive. Who will be there first person to be featured on my Street Chic post, If you haven't guessed by now. Its yours truley. Me! Haha

From head to toe: One of my new summer accessories, H&M fedora, Marc Jacobs charm necklace, Jimmy Choo Pour H&M Grey t-shirt with small pocked detail, H&M Biker Jacket, Quarts watch, an H&M leather studded belt (which you obviously can't see. Sorry!). Another one of my new summer accessories is my vintage Yves Saint Laurent clutch which i've recently discovered can be tossed onto any casual to chic outfit and can still make an outfit scream glamour. Jeans: random, probably urban behavious- inexspensive but long lasting and last but not least my brand new- vintage army/combat steal toe boots very cute and very "hard"

Stay tuned for more amazing Street Chic outfits from either yours truley or a random stranger or two.

Its about time for a few new summer trade marks.

A cool vintage looking greyish-black H&M fedora and a vintage Yves Saint Laurent clutch. These two together or seperate will have a chance at being my new summer accessories, there still of course on a two week probation haha i need to see if they go together with my other clothes and accessories. The hat i chose because.. we'll to be completely honest it was an intoxicated inpulse purchase that i grew to love the second day of owning it and the clutch, i traded for my vintage Chanel half tint sunglasses. YES- you read correctly the Chanel half tints are no more. Accessories come and go. Yes i loved them to pieces but i'm growing up and my style is constantly changing as much as i would have loved them to stick around for decades to come, thats pretty impossible cause we all change- constantly. So back to the main topic, keep your eye out for these two bad boys and whatever one you see more, is of course the one that will stick around for a long while.
